196th Meeting, 35th Anniversary & Installation Ceremony

Lodge of European Fraternity No. 52, Maro

On Thursday, 16th April, the Brethren of the Lodge of European Fraternity No. 52 assembled in Maro for a most notable and memorable occasion: the 196th meeting of the Lodge, marking also the 35th anniversary of its Consecration, together with the Installation of W. Bro. Paul as Worshipful Master.

The meeting was exceptionally well attended, with 13 Members present and 19 Guests joining the proceedings. Amongst the distinguished visitors were Brethren who had travelled from the United Kingdom, including the son and grandson of a Founder Member—an especially meaningful presence on such an historic evening, linking the Lodge’s proud past with its vibrant present.

The Lodge was further honoured by the attendance of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, whose presence added dignity and distinction to the proceedings.

The Installation Ceremony was conducted in a most exemplary manner, with solemnity, precision, and warmth, reflecting the finest traditions of our Order. W. Bro. Paul was duly Installed into the Chair of King Solomon, and we wish him every success in the year ahead as he undertakes the responsibilities of his Office.

Following the formal proceedings, the Brethren and their Guests retired to a most convivial Festive Board, where good fellowship prevailed. The evening was marked by harmony, reflection, and celebration—befitting both the Installation and the significant milestone of the Lodge’s 35th anniversary.

A truly memorable occasion for all present, and a testament to the enduring strength, unity, and fraternal spirit of the Lodge of European Fraternity No. 52

We are a friendly English speaking Masonic lodge in the Nerja area.

We have 4 meetings a year, on the 3rd Thursday in April, May, October and November

Visiting masonic brethren to this area, either on holiday, or for a longer stay are always welcome to join us.

Our lodge was consecrated in 1991 and has met regularly in the Nerja area since then.

Our fraternity is one of the oldest social and charitable organisations in the World. We have no political or religious affiliations and our membership is without prejudice of age, race, creed or culture.
